Aegina (Egina) Island Tours Day Trips Sightseeing Bus Tour Aegina Greece
Our Aegina Island tour begins with a visit to the Temple of Aphaia, one of the most famous and well-preserved ancient Greek temples that dates back to the 5th century BC. After touring the site, we depart for Mesagros, where we will visit a pottery workshop and observe the local potters at work.
We continue on our Aegina (Egina) Island tour by bus to the Monastery of Agios Nektarios, the Patron Saint of Aegina. From there we set course to Paleochora, the famous hillside village which once had 365 chapels, one for each day of the year. At noon, we will have a picnic lunch. |

From there we will visit the village of Souvala and then travel along the coastal road, passing the statue of the Mother and the home of Nikos Kazantzakis, author of “ Zorba the Greek” and many other literary classics.
Upon arrival in Aegina Town, we will visit the Temple of Apollo (otherwise known as Colona), the Tower of Markellos, where the first coins of Modern Greece were minted, and the monuments of the first Government of Modern Greece.

We then move on to the Water Park, where we will sample the local ouzo and appetizers and have the opportunity to swim in the pool and soak up the sun.
From there our Aegina Island bus tour will head to Perdika, passing the point where Ioannis Kapodistrias, the first Governor of Greece, disembarked on Aegina Island. In Perdika we will stop to admire its picturesque fishing village and bay.
